This team has a chance to be as good as the 09 team. Our pitching is you g but very talented but our offense is pretty damn good.

Coach Godwin knows what he is doing. This is the best I have seen the rebs hit the ball in a long time. Top to bottom, our lineup can stroke the ball.

It's been 10 years and we've had Omaha talent.

And we have lost in the supers to teams with Omaha talent as well. The loss to UVA in the 2009 Super Regional hurt a lot, because that team was simply just much better than that Virginia team. Other than that, our Super Regional losses to Texas, Miami, and Arizona State aren't exactly losses to be ashamed of. I know that 2005 Ole Miss team was perhaps the most talented team we've ever fielded, but that Texas team was unreal, hence their CWS championship.

ETA: This team is ridiculously young. We've got a shitload of freshmen and sophomores playing significant roles on a team currently ranked in the top-20. We will experience some growing pains, especially in SEC play, but to axe Bianco after this season if he doesn't make it to the CWS would be downright foolish. While I'm excited about this year and it's possibilities, I can't help but already look ahead to the future.
