I don't recall anyone saying they got screwed when the seedings were done. I do recall someone saying they didn't want Southern Miss in their regional. Oregon State could have bitched about getting a pretty hot LSU team sent to their region, but instead worked them over like a chicken bone.

This is correct. In fact, I believe that Tennessee Tech's hitting prowess was discussed pre-regionals and tRant consensus was "durrr they play in the Ohio Valley. Let them see some real SEC Pitchers." But if you look at WAOM track record, they only gave up double digit runs to: USC x2, State, and Arky.

The answer is yes they did.
I for one, applaud the NCAA for using this type of backdoor punishment for their getting off so light on the cheating scandal.
I can only hope the NCAA continues their devious plot for years on end.

They obviously didn't want an all SEC final again as they paired all the seeds on the same side of the bracket.

If Tenn Tech gets to Omaha, TD Ameritrade will be their undoing. Big hitting teams always struggle there.
When State made the national championship series in '13, they had to go through Oregon State. Oregon STate hit about 5 balls in that game that would have been home runs in 95% of college parks and lost a 5-4 game.
TD Ameritrade loves good pitching.
