I was just wondering if you really are that big of an idiot and you proved it with this:

And this does not change the fact that when yall moved into the larger arena yall lost the environment that yall had in the old place. Clearly its a nice arena, but I can't help but feel like you would of been better served building a new arena that was smaller more alike the old once similar to what Auburn did, or a total reno on the old place.

It's already been said that it's a multi-purpose arena. It wasn't solely built for Gamecock basketball. However, when we are good in basketball, we can pack that arena and it's pretty impressive, but sadly, we haven't been worth a shite for a while now.

There are many major events and concerts that come to Columbia(which you said doesn't happen) and sells out Colonial Life.

All I'm saying is just because Cola is large enough to support major touring concerts does not mean that USC needed to move into that large of an arena. Spend the money and build a new place sure, but I think you lose the environment moving into a new place. Its just sort of stale, yall had some great teams in the old gym and great a atmosphere now you have a stale atmosphere most nights.

Maybe I am wrong but I think USC basketball would have been better served building a new arena that suited their needs, not Columbia's. That is what I was getting at.

Cola doesnt get that major of events in that place.

The Colonial Life Arena was ranked 22nd in the world in ticket sales in 2003. It was also ranked the #1 arena in the Carolinas and was the #2 rated university arena in the world in 2005, based on ticket sales for touring show.

In addition to Gamecock Men's & Women's basketball games, the arena also hosts the SC high school basketball championships. It is the home to major conferences, concerts, and graduations. Some notable concert tours include Taylor Swift, The Eagles, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Journey, and Carrie Underwood. The CLA also hosts live events such as the Circus, WWE (monday night raw), Monster Jam, Winter Jam, American Idol, and Dancing with Stars. Other notable visitors have included Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, and George W. Bush.
