AO can play dirty, no question. But this had been brewing the whole game with the way they were smack talking and taunting each other. So AO went down, maybe a little extra force was used so he grabbed the ankle. Neither side is blameless here.

Grabbing a dude is not a reason to be ejected. Technical (which I think you got) is appropriate.
Throwing fists around, despite the strength they get thrown with is not okay. Good ejection.
