He's an old man. He needs regular sleep and better habits or he will spiral quickly. Old people can't pretend they are young for too long because it wears too much on them both physically and mentally.

Right. He is basically eldery now and is trying to keep up the facade of being a college student.
That is a recipe for disaster. Kiffin's went throught this before so it isn't like there isn't precedence, many times in his life actually.
