Seeing your team implode or watching your biggest rival win week after week?

I've hated BAMA for 20 years & I hate them more than any other team in the SEC, so watching the ALA/TN game is just making the sick feeling I got from watching LSU lose worse. And then I get to hear the announcers love-fest for the Tide and I just feel like

Watching us implode is much worse....losing to bama at this point would be like losing to Miss. State.

Still not impressed with bama, sure we suck but hey I was around in the earlier years, but we will get beyond it relatively soon. I'm still shocked about that supposed offensive pass interference, sure seems like that should make the Pontiac game changing performance

We all know that Bama will shite and fall in it before the year is over. I am mad at our program and Tubs.

Watching the team implode. Many bama fans claim the playing field is lopsided and therefore Auburn beats them. How many times was the shoe on the other foot before Pat Dye came to town??I do miss the games where AUBURN /Alabama came to the iron bowl ranked in the top 20

Speaking as a Bammer that watched AU go undefeated 4 years go.

It hurt much worse knowing that we were very average. We were excited about getting bowl eligible. It was also frustrating knowing that the coach we had wasn't going to get the job done.

I'm sure it helped that AU got left out of the NCG.

What hurts most?

Knowing Tubbs is sitting in his breakfast knook table looking at his bank statment laughing. Soon there will be a 6 million dollar deposit made tp the account and he has set AU up doing it.

I think Auburn has resorted to losing on purpose now in an attempt to frick up our strength of schedule. Bastards!!!

I have to admit it would be a bit of poetic irony if Alabama was left out of the NCG in favor of Penn State/Texas. Would be something to throw in the face of those people who said "If Alabama was in Auburn's place in 2004, we wouldn't have been left out"

I think we will have to lose at this point to drop from #2 but I think we will lose wither to LSU or Auburn. If not, I think we will get waxed by Florida in the SEC CG.

I just hope we make it to a good bowl. If we lose one I hope we get to go to the Sugar bowl.

Seeing AU implode is 10x worse. I pull for Bama to lose, but at this point I am not really pulling against them so much and I think part of it is because we have been so bad. Bama undefeated still keeps the season interesting - more so than it would be considering AU has no shot at much of anything at this point.

By the way, I may be in the minority, but bammers being happy about AU being left out in 2004 doesn't bother me. I got over that very quickly knowing that we did all we could on the field and there was nothing to fault the team, coaches, or fans for - only the system. Plus it is now widely acknowledged that AU team was awesome and as much a national championship team as any there has been and more of a championship team than many recent ones with losses.

I was never happy about y'all being left out of the NC game. I thought it was a travesty that a team could go undefeated in the SEC and be left out of the title hunt. Auburn would have won the NC if they would have been given the opportunity to play for it in my opinion.

On an interesting side note, did you realize Joe Paterno and Penn State have finished undefeated and untied 4 times under Joe Pa (1968, 1969, 1973, and 1994) and two more before Joe Pa that were not awarded a national championship. If it comes down to it they should let penn state go over bama...lord knows bama will have no problem claiming a national championship even if they don’t go to the BCS title game.

Hopefully more impressive rings than LSU in '03 or '05 since AU's '04 season was more impressive. Probably more impressive than any season LSU has had in its entire history.

Yeah, its so wrong to give players that just went undefeated and worked their asses off to go undefeated some championship rings. What in the hell was he thinking?

The school does not claim the 2004 season as a national championship...although if we did it would be just as legitimate if not more than half of the ones bama claims, but that is neither here nor there. I think pretty much any school would order rings for their players if they were in the same situation Auburn was in 2004. If you have a reason that you think players who have gone undefeated don't deserve a ring I would love to hear it.
