Im a sidewalk Tech fan. Its true that folks who go to Tech would rather see UGA lose than Tech win. I guess
thats the difference between sidewalk fans & Tech students/alumni. Their hate for UGA is unreal.

I really dont give a shite what UGA does..I root for em when they are not playing Tech. I wana see all GA schools do good.

But I was told earlier in the thread that that's not true.

I went to college at Berry up in Rome Ga. Roommate was a Tech fan. He would straight up watch a uga game over a tech game and root for georgia to lose then he would watch tech and root for them to win. Cant say I blame him though.

I watched and my first reaction was "I liked it, but maybe that's just me." But then I watched it again, and my reaction is "I liked it a lot, and if you didn't you're a redneck nincompoop". Very well done.

That old joke still in circulation among the tech masses? I'm sure I don't need to tell you how good of a school UGA is these days.

There is no doubt UGA is a great school these days--the quality of students they attract now, especially with HOPE funding has made UGA a great school across the board.

But let's get serious, Georgia Tech is still the top academic institution in Georgia. I also think its the best bang for the buck in the nation. If they can ever get that clown running the triple option out of there, they'd have a perennial ACC contender.

I remember the UGA-GT games in the 90's... Great games. I hope a tech can get a guy to run the spread-offense, which I think would be the best fit for Tech. In their hay, GT would win about 1/3 recruiting battles with UGA. if they ran the spread, they would attract way more in-state recruits, where speed is abundant.

If GT could ever get their act together, it would greatly benefit UGA. UF definitely gets a boost from FSU, by having a potential win be 'signature' right when soon-to-be playoff committee members are making their field of 4.
