As I said...MOST Tech fans grew up Tech fans and never went to the school...nor did any of their relatives. They just like them. And that's ok. MOST are pretty nice. (I'm gonna get crucified if i keep saying semi nice things about Tech, though!)

I've met VERY few Ga. Tech fans that actually went to Tech. Just my experience.

I'll echo the sentiment that most Tech grads are solid people who have good careers. It is just that there truly is a segment of their fanbase that is so obsessed with UGA that it is creepy. There is an old joke in Georgia that says "what do a UGA fan and a GT fan have in common? They're both obsessed with UGA"

Imposing? No. And i didn't say they were in big numbers. But when you FIND a Tech fan they are VERY intense...at least the several I know. A buddy of mine refuses to watch a game with other people because, in his words, he gets "very excited" when watching the games. (That means screaming, yelling and throwing stuff at the TV)

It is. It is NOT fun to be a Tech fan right now. They thought they were on the right track when they hired Paul Johnson....and it looked like they were right the first 2-3 years. But, people are catching up to it. Well...actually, they are not. They still roll up a lot of yards and points...but that defense. OUCH!
Looks a lot like Georgia's might this year!
