Since we have been so popular in the conversation ranks, this is from another topic posted today. Might as well throw something else out.

In a similar report released in May, Texas A&M was ranked fourth in the nation among the most affordable colleges with a high ROI, outranked only by Georgia Tech, State University in New York (SUNY) at New Paltz and the University of Virginia

Nobody has denied that tech is a good school.
Btw,
how does this happen?

GTs business school is better than UGAs, period. The reason academics gets brought up so much is bc us GT fans have nothing else to brag about it.
Ga. Tech is usually be respectable in football, and occasionally they have very good teams. I USED to pull for them to win their game until they played, UGA. But some friends always wanted to bring up academics when we talked football. Not a problem, normally...but not every time we talk football! So, I pretty much would ask them if we were talking academics or football? I would tell them I conceded that Ga. Tech was a superior academic school. Now, could we get back to football?

Georgia Tech has plenty to be proud about. Just not, generally, football.

Y'all do the same thing to AU.

None of what I said above applies to UGA/GT. The campuses could not be any more different. One is the quintessential college town while one is a major metropolis riddled with gangs, crimes, and vagrants. One actually has what you'd think of as a "campus", while the other is in the middle of downtown and next to a major United States interstate.
Gotta be honest, you're missing the mark pretty bad on Georgia Tech's feel when you're not just passing through.

Nerd is getting exposed. How the frick can you rant about being innovative while ripping off someone.

Has anyone else pointed out that this speech is a ripoff of someone else's? Right down to the "you can do that" and "play sci fi music like a badass. I'm doing that right now"
Ah, it all makes sense. Future Mark Zuckerberg.
ETA: Also pretty savvy for whoever was able to dig that up

Tech's campus isn't exactly what I would refer to as picturesque, but it really isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. It's definitely urban, but it's also pretty distinct from the surrounding area. It isn't like Georgia State, which just blends in to downtown and would be unrecognizable if you took the signs off the buildings.

More info has now come out. In addition to the link I posted above where you can see how the OP vid is a blatant ripoff, now it's being said on other sites that the guy in the original video (that I posted a few posts up) is the tech dude's high school debate coach
He didn't even have to do any leg work to rip this speech off.
