The joint that hosted Tampa's NFL team before the pirate ship place was a damn near carbon copy.

no offense, but as a Memphis native I feel like I can say this...the Liberty Bowl is a dump

I really hate UT and it pains me to say this, but I have a massive case of the jealous about the Vol Navy. That's one of the coolest things in all of college football.
Also the pre-erector set Neyland looks pretty boss.

I'll kick it old school here.
The groundbreaking ceremony for Memorial Stadium (Faurot Field) from 1925. It used to be a rock quarry and in fact the Rock M was made with left over stones after construction.
One of the oldest pictures I could find of the Rock M, while many think the Rock M is stupid its been there since 1927... it aint going no where. This is from 1929 Homecoming against Nebraska.
Another of the M, this one from 1932.
Aerial view of the stadium from the 40's.

Not nearly enough Razorback Stadium pics in this thread. It may be small compared to a couple of the behemoths, but it's unique and an all around good looking stadium. Plans for the future are bowling in the open end where the Broyles Athletic Complex stands now, by building a lower deck in front of the building and luxury boxes on top of it so it will not be destroyed.
Also, Razorback stadium has been lit up red at night for years now (LSU, I'm looking at you).

This gives me an idea... How about a thread for the WORST stadiums in college football?

I would have to nominate Malone Stadium. It is pretty bad even for a Sun Belt team but I still love me some Warhawks.

Which reminds me to nominate this one:

and of course I haven't forgot about the Gumps

Damn, and y'all call Neyland an erector set. Penn States takes the cake on that

This is about all we've got, a sweet arse Arkansas sign on a hill. It's clearly off center because they wanted to be revolutionary.

But seriously, it's hard to beat the view of the Boston Mountains in the background when you're sitting on the upper deck. The view is usually even better without those temporary bleachers that are put up there for unusually big games, maybe once or twice a season on average.
