Bars in BR are way to spread out... that sucks.

And you certainly can find yourself in some shite if you venture too far one way or another in BR.

I've always enjoyed partying at LSU though.

Athens wins this by a landslide.

I've lived in College Station for a while now, there are a lot of bars but the music in the Northgate bars is terrible. It's either country or Nickleback style cover bands. Tuscaloosa Oxford, Athens, BR, Auburn and Vandy are much better IMO.

Baton Rouge - I would list BR as my most overrated campus that I have been to. Hit several bars when we were there and wasn't impressed with any of them.

The campus and the city are two very different things. LSU's campus is one of the most beautiful in the SEC. It puts Auburn to shame.

City wise, I'd rather live in BR than the loveliest little trailer park on the plains.

A) You sound mad
B) Turrible flame

Auburn may be boring in some respects, but campus is absolutely beautiful.

greenwave... I personally love Schotzkis and Zapatos and they are anything but country and cover bands.

They have jazz, jam band, rock and indy bands in all the time from everywhere.

Well maybe I need to go to Schotzkis more, last time I went to Zapatos the band sounded like Good Charlotte

Isn't this topic covered every week? Intentionally or unintentionally?

I seem to remember this topic being the fallback argument several times pre and post-thanksgiving.

"Our team is going to whoop your team's arse."
"Oh, yeah? Well, I've got STATS!"
"Oh, yeah? Well, Fayetteville kicks your town's arse! Look at all of these PICS!!"

greenwave.. you in grad school?

I prefer Northgate on the weekdays and Tap/Fox/Downtown Bryan on the weekends when I'm there.

The wife and I are looking to move the newborn out of Houston and back to B/CS so I'm sure I'll be frequenting the music scene more often.

Two of my friends own bars in CS.... The Tap has some good acts that run through there.

The wife and I are looking at opening a cafe/bar by day and bar by night soon... She's hung up on it so we are going to give it a whirl.

I will say in Knoxville they serve PITCHERs of red bulls and vodka's , which is the only place i've been that does that. very dangerous.

oh and the parking garage behind cool beans is a great place for a late night backseat hookup

No S/O is in grad school, and I agree, downtown Bryan is awesome. I prefer going there on weekends as well. When other SEC teams come here they will have a blast in Northgate. And the cafe idea seems awesome, CS needs more non chain type restaurants especially breakfast places that are not mexican restaurants.

I remember being at LSU several years ago and some bar would serve pitchers of mixed drinks with a bunch of straws in them.

I also think this was where the frat guy died in 97.

Logan's in CS serves 32 oz. tumblers of hard liquor, but not pitchers.

greenwave... my favorite breakfast place in CS is La Bodega ... also try Blue Baker, Kolache Rolfs and Fuego.

Blue Baker has some awesome breakfast choices.
