It's not so much that OU won't be good, they have a brutal schedule. Mateer played great last year when healthy. They absolutely could make the playoffs and with that defense it could make a run similar to Miami's last year.

Going forward, I think teams with GREAT defenses will fair better in a playoff series than offense first teams.

Problem, OU has to play a lot of contenders MI, GA, TX, OM, A&M ... That's 5 preseason top Tens teams and several at their house but if they make it, look out.
