So my question is: Do you believe being in man coverage on Randle is better than allowing LSU to gain a few yards on the edge?

Both defenses have kept big plays to a minimum all year, but IMO you take your lumps on the option attack instead of leaving JJ with a seemingly wide open Randle once he beats the man coverage.

What say you, bama fans?

Bama will continue to do what got them this far. Bama shut down LSU the first game, I expect them to do it again this game. Bama can continue to roll coverage towards Randle, while limiting the run(option) game. LSU can not and will not move the ball up and down the field by running the ball against the Bama defense.

Last year, the winning drive's yards were ALL gained on the ground.

I think LSU had 150 yards on the ground this year.

You do realize Lee had four or five of LSU's possessions in this last game, right?

Are you saying LSU won't be able to establish the run?

Acceptable amount for the Bama defense IMO.

Yes, relevance?

I think they will get 125-200 yds on the ground.

we'll rush for a minimum of 300 this game, Bama's blimpbackers can't get to the edge, we exposed them late in the game

a D2 school made Bama look even worse

Exposed? If that's the case, I hope LSU exposes them again.

4th qtr
9 carries for 37 yds.

3rd qtr
12 carries for 31 yds

3.23 ypc for the second half....

How many yards did Ford have in OT?

9-6 Deal with it, if you can't win at BDS what makes you possibly think you can in the Dome? The turf will make your blimpbackers look even slower.

What happened to your theory on Bama being exposed .. stats get in the way?

Exactly my point, LSU had a difficult time moving the ball and the score proves that.

QB- Bama
Safety- Bama

@ McCarron being being more talented. If anything, they both suck equally.

Safety is a push

I love the way Bama fans keep calling LSU's offense "shitty."

As if they have players that are better than LSU's. One player, in Richardson. Where LSU makes up in depth.

Big fricking whoop.

Explain Ga. Southern and those quick as a cat, fat LB's that can't run sideline to sideline.

No need to explain, LSU is not GA Southern. Bama has played LSU this year, that is the matchup for the title game, not GA Southern.

Did well enough to keep LSU out of the end zone. The LBs have not gotten slower since Nov.

NO! The game showed that one team got the ball moving early in the game and was stopped later, the other team had difficulty moving the ball but adapted and started taking control and won the game.

I look forward to seeing a better and more satisfying manifestation of the aforementioned adaptation.

Bama had three pts in first half and three in second half. Moved the ball marginally better in first half.

LSU had three pts in first half and three in second. Their scoring drives were 2yds and 17yds.
LSU had a few more yds in second half compared to first. Not sure how "taking control" figures in, LSU never led the whole game till the final play.

Rolando and the rest didn't get slower during holiday before they played UT for the title.

Go back and watch how successful bama was at stopping Michael Ford, even when he was running up the middle on non-option plays. Bama shut down the slow Spencer Ware toss dive up the gut but so has everyone else since 11/5 also. The threat of Ford's speed to the outside also opened up the middle for enough room for him to convert first downs when needed.

LSU only stalled when Ware was in and some of that was due to T Bob getting blown up at OG. When LSU got the ball on the bama 15 after the Claiborne INT, T Bob single handedly killed the drive by letting his man make two tackles in the backfield in a row. He has lost pretty much all of his PT now and I'm sure the coaches' pet thing will go out the window with the national title on the line.
