It was good play for the "handing UGA their first loss" comment.

You'll probably cry when someone bumps this next year.

Tennessee is the epitome of clusterfrick coaching hires. You guys hired your 5th choice

I preferred Herman...but it's a solid hire....and possibly, an excellent hire.....depending on who he brings in for the OC and who we retain on staff....our recruiting could be lights out moving forward....
CMR was once a lowly coordinator with fire in his gut,,a desire to prove something...we shall see moving forward...

He'll do no worse than Richt... The question still remains... Can he beat Bama (when he wins the east every single fricking year beacuse of garbage teams such as the Gaytors, The orange, and the fightn' Joplins). Only time will tell... My gut says s 8-4 to 10-2 type coach.

Can he beat Bama at UGA? Yes.
But fwiw probably everybody will beat Bama after Saban bolts this year and nobody wants to be the guy who followed Saban and they begin their time in the wilderness.

Alabama's OC > Tennessee's HC

Why are we laughing? It's a good school, good academics, nice town, has a mascot with massive underbi...oh, right. Them Georgians, can't even afford braces for their poor dog.
Next time, though, just tell us why we're laughing so I can join in immediately without have to go through the list to figure it out.

I would probably have a lot of anger if I were a Tennessee fan too. Lot of crappy years recently, less in state talent, losing to Florida ten straight times, and losing to Alabama nine straight times.
Keep on laughing, Kirby is going to build a wall around Georgia. Butch better start recruiting Ohio.

I dunno. The risk of having an assistant go to a program in the same conference where both will be recruiting the same area is that his old HC can just go, "You know how their coach learned everything he knows from me? Just thought that was interesting. I mean, I think it's a neat little fact. Anyway, let's talk new cars for your entire family...."

So Georgia fired their most successful coach ever, and replace him with a coordinator. They obviously didn't think this through.

Well, when once former great Tennessee wants to laugh at Georgia for a damn good hire...
I tend to forget that Dooley and Jones have very similar records...

It's a risky hire but I guess if you're firing Richt then you're ready for some risk.
