How did this happen? I'm shocked to say the least. I wasn't that excited about Manny Diaz, but in retrospect I'm doing flips.

I thought Les would make a pretty good hire. I think he and the AD are on the way out the door.

Once Cam pointed out that 4 hours was approximately 7% of Dick's estimated remaining lifespan, I'd have had my doubts too.
In all seriousness, though, hiring him would only have marginally delayed the inevitable process of having to find a serious long-term DC. Steele doesn't inspire confidence, but who knows what he's learned since his humiliation? He'll certainly have better talent available to him than he had at Clemson, with a less-Daboish HC to screw things up.
