Looking at the logic behind these rankings, there's a huge positive.
If you forget overall records and look at records against other top teams --especially road wins against top teams --- it seems the committee is finally considering schedule strength more than just number of losses.
Seems a lot more like the logic you'd see from the basketball committee.

LSU just hasn’t played anybody. They do soon, though. And they get the two hardest teams at home.
