In addition to being a UTex grad, he spent his first four years as an assistant at UTex. When (not if) UTex makes a coaching change, Beard will be their first call.
I’d be surprised if they haven’t already reached out to him, “casually.”

Feels like there would be more smoke if it was a sure thing. I know they are probably watching closely to see what happens with Tech but I don't think its a done deal.

yeah, ive had a few people tell me that Beard really is on our list, so, we'll see. that'll really chap longhorn arse if we acquired and kept Beard despite them wanting him.
