Delaware coach KC Keeler developed two NFL QB's (Joe Flacco, Pat Devlin) won a d-1aa championship
Like Tresel did @ Youngstown

Like Tressel.... wasn't Tressel pretty easy for SEC teams to beat?

Stanford/David Shaw is listed as #5 in the nation recruiting for this fall. Three 5 stars.

Stanford has a better 2012 recruiting class than Florida State and than LSU and than Arkansas.

Stop pretending Arkansas is a big job that will draw guys who already have it going on. Its not. Its a regional job. Its a step up for someone at Louisville. That's about it.

And its fricking Stanford. The alumni dont give a shite if they win the national championship. They will be happy to beat
UC-Berkeley and either one of Oregon/USCw.

Cute, but not that simplistic the declining/and or aging population base in the rust belt hampers any northern coach.

Arkansas: Sources tell me that athletic director Jeff Long views Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville and South Florida head coach Skip Holtz as viable options for an immediate hiring.  Long is weighing options and will continue to do so this weekend, but you can scratch Butch Davis' name as a candidate to replace Petrino.

From coachingsearch.com

Cannot imagine anyone happy with Tubbs and Holtz already said no didn't he?

I think all of us just need to accept the fact that we aren't going to be happy with our next hire.

Alot of BS in that short paragraph.

So we're going to hire somebody who is in trouble with the FBI?

Hearing from a very reliable source that Paul Petrino is being considered as interim coach. Personally, I think this might be a very good alternative to hiring another head coach at this time.

Either way, if you want a capable coach to lead Arkansas to the next level then your going to have to take him from someone. Its the business of coaching.

Wow. Really went out on a limb with that one, source.

I'm understanding of why we had to fire Petrino and I'm not mad at Long at all but I will be damned if I donate a single dollar more to the university if we rush out and hire Holtz or Tubbs.

True, but right now the possibility of an interim coach may be the best option for making the best of this season without gutting the existing assistant coaching staff and implementing a complete overhaul of the program.
