this actually wouldn't be a bad short term solution, if he would go for it.

No one knows at this point.

Most think Jeff is going to go for a grand slam hire right now and throw big money around at people. If no one takes the bait, interim for a year and do it all over again in December.

Long isn't afraid of being told no. He will seriously call Gruden and everyone until he gets a no. Which, I am perfectly fine with.

We know that no one knows anything over there until vague hints start coming out and moderators start acting all butthurt. As long as they are still working on a list they are as clueless as the rest of us.

After this mess, Long needs a grand slam hire! Bringing in an interim could hit our recruiting.

If we go the interim route our recruiting is fricked.

Recruiting isn't that much of a strength at AR anyways.

This is fine, but honestly IMO, it's a waste of time.

Y'all had a home run with Petrino. Did that get you an SEC championship or a National Championship? It's not Long's fault that Petrino was a conceited idiot off the field, and Hootie could recruit better than Petrino did, so no worries there!

Hudspeth would win the National Championship at Arkansas. Good think Arky isn't smart enough to hire him

I love McGee as a short term option, but I'm not sure he would be the best long term solution.

I think he would end up being a great coach. Then again I am biased because I loved the Year of the QB special with him on it.
