Sorry to hear this awful news. He seems like a good kid and was a very good player.

I hate the dreaded ACL injuries. You never know how they come back from them.

Yeah I still think Murray and Co. will still rack up a fair amount of passing yards as I think our secondary is the weakest part of our D and perhaps our team. They aren't terrible and we don't give up a lot of points but do give up a crap ton of yards. Sucks for the guy personally and UGA as a whole but it certainly doesn't hurt SC.

I hate it for him. Well wishes for a speedy recovery. I don't know why, but it seems like more people are having knee injuries than in years past.

Sometimes it seems that way for sure.

Knock on HBT's head, we've been fairly lucky with regard to injuries this year. I wonder if the new S&C guy has anything to do with it or if it's just plain luck.

UG always seems to get unlucky though.

I think most knee injuries are pretty fluky. Donta Hightower is the last guy I recall taking a bad hit to the knee resulting in a torn ACL. I'd be willing to bet that around 50% of ACL tears involve no contact to the knee

Bennett was the go to guy for Murray. When a QB losses that security blanket, it can spell trouble.

I don't know if he was so much a go to guy for Murray, but more like dude was just constantly open. Murray has a lot of trust in Marlon Brown as well. I think the Bennett loss hurts, but not as bad as it would if it was any other position. Our WR core is pretty deep. Especially with Malcolm Mitchell back on O full time.

Murray has thrown 12 Td's, Bennett having 4. Murray's spreading it around. This hurts but not fatal.

Losing a starter always hurts. But of all positions, WR is probably one we are best equipped to overcome injury. Secondary or O-line, forget about it.

Watched him quite a bit and really liked him, but your comment is spot on. Hate it for him.

Yeah Murray targeted him a lot but he also spread the ball around a lot. This sucks because he was a matchup nightmare for linebackers in the slot, especially when we went 5 wide

We will be okay. PLENTY of depth at the WR position. Problem is, he was the go to guy across the middle because he created a miss match for LB's across the middle. We will just have to get our talented TE's involved more now. Bennett wasn't afraid to put his body on the line in the middle of the field, time for our TE's to step up and catch those passes between the hashes now.

This is the one position we could afford to lose a player. Just sucks it had to be Bennett. He's one of the hardest working guys on the offense.

King wants to wear number 82 for Bennett against USCe.
