Something like that.
He actually was a pretty successful OC when we hired him but yeah he definitely doesn't do as much now as he did at Northwestern. He is one of our best recruiters however so that is a plus. I imagine lack of playcalling will hurt him for HC openings just like it did Paul Petrino. That's why Paul left before last season to take over the OC job at Illinois. He was told the he needed to prove himself as a play caller away from his brother since everyone knows Bobby calls the plays.

Were hoping Stud will call Miles 2007 offense.
You know, the one that earned Crowton the Wizard nickname!

How the hell does an OBVIOUS flame thread turn into a serious discussion, either I'm slacking or you guys are.
But I guess I'll go with it. McGee kinda got the 2nd spot by default, McElwain is the only one I could see above him and I put him 3rd for the very reasons stated by some of the Bama fans.

1) Arkansas (McGee) - I don't even care if it's McGee or Petrino in charge. QB's get developed, points get scored.
2) Auburn (Malzahn) - It's gimicky, disguising power running with spread sets. But I guess you can't argue with results.
3) Alabama (McElwain) - Productive offenses with game manager QB's always tends to impress me.
4) LSU (Studrawa/Kragthorpe) - I honestly think Krags, at least for this year, will end up being more of an OC than Stud. The battlefield promotion is a precaution. Look for something in between Arky and Bama in terms of run/pass balance and aggressiveness.
5) Mississippi State (Koenning) - With a little more talent, I think this offense could resemble Auburn's under Malzahn. Certainly on the upswing.
6) Ole Miss (Rader? Nutt?) - QB quandary, lack of skill players, only glimmer at RB? Smoke Draw anyone?
Honestly, I think that by the end of the season LSU and Bama will be switched on this list. But as of now Bama gets the nod.

That's because YOU are a frickING TROLL
After LSU beats Oregon's azz ... I'll picture you (and your loser program) as some insignificant piece of $hit hiding and waiting for a beating, like a "Bad Child" hiding in the closet and being sought out for an azzbeating with a beltstrap

So you admit that was clearly your intent from the beginning with the news of LSU's offensive coordinator stepping over to coach qbs. Did you not pay attention to the sticky last week that said flaming would not be tolerated on this board?

McElwain isn't allowed to change the script, Mullen, Nutt and Petrino call their own plays. With K out at LSU, Gus is the only OC in the West.

Why are you flaming LSU fans who just found out their OC has Parkinsons?

In 3 years at Arky, Petrino's offense is averaging scoring 401 pts per year.
In 2 years at Auburn, Malzahn's offense is averaging scoring 505 pts per year.
If you want to add in Malzahn's one year at Arky, then in 3 years in the SEC (Arky + Auburn), Malzahn's offense is averaging 471 pts per year.
You're stupid!

When LSU hangs 40 on you, will you change your mind about the rankings?

Course not.

LSU offense cannot get any worse, it is almost statiscally impossible. LSU had the worst offense in the SEC in 2009 followed by the 11th ranked offense in the SEC in 2010 with a passing game that was barely on a high school level. With Crowton gone, it's almost impossible not to improve on that.
