If it wasn't just about getting tv sets and expanding the market, Clemson would have been admitted to SEC vs Mizzou and Texas AM.
False. In the 90's A&M was higher on the expansion wish list than Clemson, and that was before conference networks.

that is b/c SC brass opposes Clemson being added, b/c their only recruiting pitch is they are in the SEC.
I'm ok with just beating up on the NC schools and UVA in football. No real desire to be in SEC, i'm just saying, Clemson seems like one.

We were on the list before them too. When we turned the SEC down USC got the invite.

You dont' think that was about expanding into new market?
I think one thing makes ACC unique is the games b/t north and south. The Clemson - BC rivalry has really become one of the best every year.
Outside of Maryland in the big 10, and WV playing in big 12, ACC is only conference with cross regional games. We also have Lousivlle now which seems like Midwest to me.
I think you will see BC, Syracuse, and Pitsburgh start to land more recruits being in a better conference.

There is no ACC rant.
There's a good reason, fricktard. Nobody gives two shits about your pretend conference except for the bunch of cast off, second hand pretenders who have a God complex with nothing but the eternal hell of being confined to the likes of a conference that will ALWAYS be a backseat driver, at best, to the SEC.

Keep telling yourself this if it is the only way to bear being a shitty ACC conference member.
The SEC will NEVER coming knocking at y'alls door. We are the SEC rep for this state and the SEC will not add y'all for this reason alone, not including the myriad of additional reasons for not adding y'all. Get lost, asshat, or at least show respect to the SEC teams since this is OUR board.

SEC added SC, former ACC member who only won the conference once in decades. I doubt this is an issue given seems unlikely they would add anymore teams, unless some leave or get kicked out for some reason. I'm cool with being in ACC, I like the underdog status plus I like ACC campuses/locations better and I like beating down hoity toity schools like UNC and UVA and duke and wake. It is great.
I never disrespected SEC, I said I watch a lot SEC games every year. Why would I watch if I hate SEC. Even the SC-Tenn game seems like one of the best games every year no matter their records.
I never flipped anybody off on here nor will I. You probably need to take your own advice about respect.
Sports are supposed to be fun. If you find youself getting angry and flipping people off over opinions about sports, maybe it isn't for you.

The Ozarks represent a large portion of Missouri, which is more southern than most of The South is today. Fact.
Not to mention Southeastern Missouri is basically Mississippi...there's only 50 miles between the bootheel and Mississippi. I know several people from the bootheel at Mizzou and I can't even understand them half the time thanks to their ridiculously strong southern drawl. They also call me a "damn Yankee"....Missouri has to be the only place where someone from the same state as you thinks you're a Yankee

If you just take the city that feeds A&M (which is completely fair to do seeing as how Houston has more people in it than Arkansas) you will see numbers that hover closer to 25% for that demographic.
Greater Houston is 17% African American.
Likewise, if you take the main city that feeds into the University of Arkansas (the Little Rock metro area), you'll find that it is 21% black.
Houston metro - 17% black
Little Rock metro - 21% black
University of Arkansas - 5% black
TAMU - 3% black
If you really want to make a case for being more "SEC" or even more "Southern" because of your percentage of black people, well there are your stats, babydoll.

Arky has added no value since being in.

In my eyes, USC is the only SEC team that fits in almost seamlessly.
A&M and Arky are almost there, but the whole geographical location thing makes them feel different culturally.
And Mizzou.....
