In 1971 the national media pulled out all the stops to try and get Ed Marinaro the Heisman Trophy. They planned a big announcement at halftime of the UGA-GT game on Thanksgiving night. The media guy making the announcement in the studio...the disappointment on his face and in his voice when he read Pat Sullivan as very obvious.
