I was pulling for Bama, hate UGA. Their fans are worse than Bama. Plus, Auburn had more to lose with UGA winning a title...

You know what is worse than one of your top rivals winning a NC? Your top 2 rivals winning NCs.

Were you blowing a Bama fan while you sang their praises?

My bro is a Auburn grad and he genuinely laughed when Tua threw that pass in OT. It was a weird moment hearing him talk about it and be kind of excited.

Of course he lives in Atlanta though..

Well, it was an absolutely beautiful play. Sometimes you just have to forget about your team and just admire some spectacular football.

Same with me and Athens.

Honestly, though, this is true about any other fan base outside your own. It is specially true when you live around a lot from another fan base. They are more apt to rib you when you lose, etc. We don't see it in our own fan bases because they are saying stuff we agree with, as a whole.

AU is the only team in the SEC that has been able to hold their own against the Saban machine in Tuscaloosa so I feel no shame in having cheered for them to beat the pieces of shite from Athens, GA.

It doesn't hurt that Auburn has been horrible against Georgia. That makes Auburn fans attack Georgia more and Georgia fans strike back at Auburn fans harder than normal.

You are such a bitch! The NC in 2010 was awesome. Maybe someday you will get to experience one.

We already have. In fact, we have experienced just as many as Auburn has. As a school and as an individual.

Like I said earlier. A lot of B'ham auburn fans were "pulling" for UGA.

uga not having one or really a decent shot at one during the modern era is a source of trolling for Auburn that we'd lose.

2002,2007,2012 and this year were all pretty close shots. And, you have lost that advantage, really. The only advantage Auburn can claim is a more recent national Championship. But don't kid your self, it was 57 years in between titles. Auburn fans like to claim history until this is pointed out to them. We went 38 years in between out titles, so if you want to think history plays a part (I don't) then we are due one shortly. Auburn, on the other hand went 57 years in between titles. So, if you want to hitch your wagon to history, then you are dues another one in 2067.

I was agreeing with you. It's perfectly understandable. The fan base you come in contact with the most is typically the one you want to lose. ALL fans are insufferable. It's odd how people identify so closely to a football team. I mean, I want Georgia to win, but some people go absolutely nuts. It's true for everybody. We just don't recognize it in ourselves.

As an AU fan that lives in Birmingham and is in ttown every weekend...I was pulling for Bama to beat UGA's arse. They have one season of relevance and you'd think they're the team that have won 17 titles. Happy you guys beat them. I was at the UGA/AU game in Jordan-Hare this year. I met some cool UGA fans and then of course there were the bad apples. Had a UGA guy sit in front of me. Every time they'd make a big play, you'd think he just won the lottery. Well, when we started to pull away, I gave the dude a taste of his own medicine. He ended up leaving early haha

Not necessarily. I doubt many of the UGA fans posting here were even alive in 1980 and if they were they were playing with their Empire Strikes Back Hoth playset like I was back then.

You mean to tell me a fan that traveled to another state and paid 3 digits to see his team play got excited when his team made a big play?

The horror!! Dude was clearly begging for an arse beating.

no no....you don't understand, but of course I expect you to try and justify him. The dude wasn't just "getting excited." Acting like a damn drunken fool. You would've apologized for him like a few UGA fans did.
