I wouldn't put all my stock in who's a finalist for the Broyles Award. But it's a start.

According to Bruce Feldman, Canada also turned down 3 other P5 schools in the last 48 hours.
He wasn't the top name on my wish list but I'll take him.

Up front, let me say I think it is a really good hire for LSU - but when you tout the way Pitt's offense improved, just keep in mind that he took over for Jim Chaney.

But can you fault people for wondering if he's a one year wonder? Or at least inconsistent? He was great at Northern Illinois. He had some average offenses at Indiana and Wisconsin. And was up and down at NC State. And fired there in January. A good rebound at Pitt though.

Not at all. But we can at least point to things like the fairly public info that Bielema was interfering with the offense at Wisconsin. When Canada was given the full reins in the conference champ game, they had their best game by far and scored 70 points.
NC State is interesting, he did a good job with lackluster talent including Jacoby Brisset (who couldn't beat out Driskel at UF). His final year, his offense put up IRCC 30+ ppg. Not sure why he was let go.

The NC State deal really was odd. They improved in PPG and Yards every season he was there.

Good lord you are sensitive. Sorry not everyone is fawning over your hire. Go to the TR if you want an echo chamber. Canada is good. Not elite, not great, good. What a whinny snowflake you are being.
