You're putting a guy with no HC experience ahead of a guy who led Louisville to a one loss season and the Orange Bowl?

Nutt took over arky when they sucked and made them very competitive and took them to multiple SEC-C games.

Petrino did a good job of taking the Louisville program to the next level after John L. Smith had some initial success w/it.

I'd rank both of them ahead of Miles since the LSU program appears to be declining in both discipline and coaching under his watch. If Miles left LSU today, would the program be in better or worse shape than when he got here? I would say slightly worse.

Why would you rate 2 coaches who have never coached a game in the sec above a coach who has won a national championship?

Is this a rank of their entire career or one season?

How has NC's under their belt on that list? I musta missed Petrino and Nutt's ring ceremonies

So I guess with Coker's national title in 2001 and him being one bad call away from a second in 2002, he must be one of the best coaches in college football?

Nutt and Petrino have won the same thing as Miles: nothing without Saban's players.

well where the frick have you been, youshould have warned us that BCS bowls and an SEC Championship and a NC was just smoke and mirrors. I hate when people hold their genius from you, only to pull it out at a point when it won't help.

It's as if it's October 28, 1929, and I've got a bad feeling about tomorrow. Keep dancing the Charleston, guys...just don't blame me when your nightmares come true.

Les Miles sucks.

Honestly,

If you don't believe LSU has some very serious issues right now, I don't know what to say..

I guess we'll have to just agree to disagree.

It is a fact that after Miles left Okie State that Gundy had to kick several players off of the team for disciplinary reasons. The program has now been purged and appears to be better off for it.

On the flip side, Miles inherited a VERY talented and disciplined team from Saban. To his credit, he held it together for the first 3 years, but the lack of discipline has been here since Miles arrived. He never should have let RP get away with all of the B.S. he did before he was finally booted. This year, the team not only showed no discipline but also lack of mental toughness (i.e., mailing it in after the loss to bama) and poor coaching. Imo, the program is slowly eroding under his watch.

Why because he won in the C-USA and went 5-7 at Ark this year. I think based on past performance I would take Nutt.
