here would be an actual good new rule for the cfp: if your team opts out of playing in a bowl game they aren't eligible for the cfp the next season

Well then they should expand to 16 ASAP since the MOU only applies to 12 and 14.

I think Alabama has a better resume. They’ve got better top end wins in Georgia and Vandy. They’ve also got very good wins against Tennessee, Mizzou and LSU. Those last 3 alone are all roughly as good as Notre Dame’s singular good win against USC
