Bama has louisiana talent to thank for about half of their nattys under saban.

It's weird how you guys frame this argument, you know that Devonta Smith will be Saban's first recruit at Alabama out of Louisiana to drafted in the first round in 14 years . Yes Saban might get a highly coveted player that LSU wanted but that happens everywhere. You guys don't think LSU gets recruits out Florida, Texas A&M, Alabama or Georgia backyards? Every last one of the Alabama championship teams has least double the instate players from Alabama then any other group of players from one particular state.

Some kids just don't want to stay home for college and want to get out to see what else is out there. I've never understood why people get all upset when a player decides to go out of state and then celebrate when a player comes to their school from out of state.

Great post. Not every kid wants to stay in state to play for the "home" team. And every school brags about "stealing" a player from a different state. Hell, it might come down to different majors or just wanting to get away from home.

Spot on as always, I will also add this... focusing too many resources in state can be detrimental to your program. Louisiana and Alabama are similar in size and population, not every year you're gonna get a great crop of prospects in state. So over the course of multiple recruiting cycles depth at key positions can be adversely effected by trying to lock down the state. You end up taking kids that really don't belong because you want to keep a few high school coaches with influence happy.

good question. Just can’t lose out on guys like Sed Van Pran. That hurt.

DLine not bad but LB is hard to find.

Dude there are inbreds all over alabama. The only difference between inbred acadians in louisiana and inbred hillbillies in alabama is their heritage and culture. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Damn.

Most of louisiana isn't acadian and arent coonasses anyway. Idiot.

In my opinion NBA players are the best profesional athletes it the world. They make the most money per player at least. And I just want to give you an even cooler brag about LA athletes.
According to the bleacher report, of the states that have produced the most nba players , LA is ranked 4. The 3 states that are higher have much greater populations. California, New York, Illinois and then LA at number 4. After one considers the population, this is probably the greatest testament to the quality of athlete that comes from LA.
