We had a fraternity advisor old man when I was in college named Dick Burns. He would introduce himself really loudly.
"Hey there! DICK BURNS! Nice to meet you!"
We always debated whether he was doing it on purpose for some internal giggle or just was that clueless. Either way, the man played it well.

And, Larry Linville was one of the most liked actors on the set. Supposedly was very upbeat and funny. It just wore on him to see his character be so unpopular.
On the other hand, Radar was one of the most liked characters, yet Gary Burghoff was a complete a-hole who was basically suspended for several weeks because the rest of the cast was tired of his shite.
