Big 10 scenarios:

If Michigan upset OSU Vandy would likely get screwed but I don't see Michigan jumping Bama. They would probably jump over BYU at the very most. Michigan appears to most likely be shut out of the Big 10 championship game also unless some crazy stuff happens. Other scenarios shouldn't have any possible 4 team playoff scenario for the Big 10 as Oregon should drop a lot with a loss to USC and that joke schedule they have.

ACC scenarios:

If GA Tech still has 1 loss and upset GA they would move in front of Bama based on where Oregon is now with 1 loss and their joke schedule. So the ACC could get 2 teams in with a GT loss in the ACCCG in that scenario.

Could GA be in danger instead of Bama in this scenario?

Big 12 scenarios:

TT would still be in with a BIG 12 championship game loss. As far as what would make that possible imo is if BYU was to lose at Cincy allowing Utah to sneak into that game if there is a 3 or more team tie at 2 losses which seems to favor them now. TT did pound Utah like BYU but Utah is playing a lot better now and should matchup better than BYU does, BYU's offense seems to be custom made to be shut down by TT's defense.

The Michigan one and Georgia Tech one are both interesting. Hadn't thought about those.

Will be interesting to see if USC takes Oregon's spot if they beat Oregon this Saturday (9.5 point underdog).

Utah and Miami being ranked ahead of Vanderbilt right now is my only real gripe with the rankings right now...

Yep there will possibly be some better losses against better wins argument in some scenarios. If the GT one happens the GA vs Bama argument for a playoff spot if other games haven't taken care of the issue will get very interesting.

Utah is playing very good football right now, having blasted 3 in a row. We beat them 34-10 at their house but only after wearing down their D in the 4th. Along with UGA, they may be playing some of the best football in the country right now . Not an easy out for anyone. There is a good reason they are getting love from the committee

If Cincy beats BYU on Saturday, Arizona State (3 losses) is in the Big 12 Championship game if they beat Arizona.

Arizona State has already beaten Texas Tech this season. Could be very interesting in the Big 12.

I feel like the Group of 5 chaos this season is being ignored. Tulane is being penciled in right now, but they need help getting into the American Championship game (either bottom dwellers beating ECU or North Texas)

The committee obviously does not like James Madison - they keep ranking American teams with 2 losses over 1 loss JMU, but what if 3-loss ECU wins the American?

Georgia Tech's defense is shockingly shitty, for whatever it's worth. Have allowed 1100 total yards in their last 2 games against Boston College and NC State.

I've bet on Arizona State one too many times this season, and I'm here to tell you that they sort of suck. They got dogged out at home by Houston and West Virginia was driving to kick a walk-off field goal against them last Saturday.

ASU beat TTU when TTU's starting QB was out

If they rematch it will be ASU without their QB and TTU having their QB back

I read somewhere that Utah wins out in most 3 team or more 2 loss scenarios because of the tiebreaker after head to head which couldn't be used initially.

Yep I think a Utah - TT rematch would be a lot better game now.

I'll be watching and hoping for this one since I absolutely positively HATE Oregon football.

Hard to see a way they could keep Oregon in the playoff if they lose to USC. It would take some major upsets eliminating other teams.

They can’t put Oregon in if they lose to southern cal. That could be a play in game. If Southern Cal wins they could play in the big ten championship game but other teams have to lose. If michgn beats OSU they will play for the Big10 CCG and leave OSU as an at large

I can see that from a spectator view. From our view I think we win it but at a high cost slug fest. This game would be just another example of those that can get into the playoffs without playing the CCG's are the lucky ones.

A 2 loss UGA, even with a shitty loss to tech, is in zero danger of missing the playoffs.

But GA did lose to Bama head to head and Bama has more good wins so why should GA be in front of Bama in that scenario?

Dropping from 4th to 11th after losing to a 1 loss team? I doubt that.

Michigan is basically shut out of the Big 10 CG short of real crazy stuff. My guess is they could only jump BYU at the most unless other teams lose.

Best thing for TT is to get that 5 seed to play the group of 5 team.
