sometimes people just latch onto a cause or person or animal's welfare for whatever reason, maybe because there is some underlying issue that hasn't bubbled up to consciousness or something like that. maybe it's not so weird--just inexplicably personal

Best wishes for Mike Leach! Hate to hear this. He is a national treasure imo.

That's how I felt reading the OP's post. Exactly my range of emotion and facial expressions.

This is really cringy.

Leach is in critical condition. No one gives a shite about how well you sleep.

Cry about it.

OP did a helluva JjDoc impersonation with making a terrible situation all about himself.

Hate this, but it's been fairly clear what's going on since a few hours after it was reported he was going to the hospital. Brain can't take anywhere near ten minutes without oxygen. Kids will get there to say their goodbyes and then....

He was fun and a great coach.

I know some will say he wasn't great, but if you choose coaching as a profession and you reach the heights he did, you have to be great at it. Great mind, great interview. Sure was hoping he'd be coaching in our conference for several more years. Heartbreaking.

I feel bad for MSU and their fans, Leach is crazy (in a good way) love his take on things... Damn fine coach as well, I know it is looking unlikely, but I hope he pulls through and make an amazing recovery..

I know what the word is and there is a dark cloud on the horizon but don’t throw dirt on the coffin just yet.
God is alive and still in the miracle business.

Been through this three times with different extended family members. I hope you are right, and I was holding out hope that some of the stuff not officially reported but coming out of MSU was wrong. Now that they are backing what is being said on actual news sites, kind of hard to ignore.

In no way am I trying to be disrespectful. I'm just saying this is what happens when you are on life support with no brain activity. I hope I'm very wrong. But what the papers are reporting leads to no other conclusion.

Didn't you read? The man was up literally all night talking to people in the know. The man needs some sleep, that's what's important here.

Hopefully he will recover. No one really knows how stressful college football really is other than a coach.

Hopefully he recovers 100 percent!

Maybe he really loves and cares for people. No shame in being a caring person.

Or maybe he’s an emotional exhibitionist who’s grossly callous towards the people with whom he spends his everyday life.

Who knows?
