And this is what I am mad about, you keep waiting till the second quarter before you really start playing, you will lose some games that you should have won. why don't they play hard from the begining of the game instead of waiting till we are behind or neck n neck with teams we should be blowing out.

One of us is crazy, and I do not think it is me, I did not say anything about losing the season, I just asked other fans if they thought we lost that fire that we had. now if you are anyone else can not understand that, I am sorry.

why is miles so good in bowl games? LSU has beaten some pretty good teams in bowls with a totally different killer instinct than usually seen in the regular season (except a game like 41-9 over VT) Obviously theres more time to prepare but they just look completely different. Lately during the regular season it seems that they wait until the second half to wake up.

Im not too worried about this team. I think you will see a different team against Vandy.

I'm starting to agree. I think Miles looks at talent and when you look at his recruiting, it looks like he is recruiting pretty damn good and he is. You start looking at another factor,a nd that is killer instinct, and it seems alot of these guys he recruits dno't have it. Saban recruited ability and killer instinct. Not a Saban thing, other coaches like Jimmy Johnson did it as well.

I think not having the talent on the DL is the big issue for LSU. Guys like LSU have had the last 10 years can really make life easy on the rest of the D.

all you idiots who claim to be lsu fans and complain about them after only one game should stay off the board.

leave the bashing to the real haters.

atleast save it for our board instead of the sec board is all i'm saying.
the tigers get enough bs from the other teams on this board. thats all i'm saying.

if we were winning and winning big you would be defending them, and you know i'm right.

You are misunderstanding what the tread was about, I wanted to know what other teams fans thought about LSU, If they thought we lost our fire or not. I was not in any way trying to bash LSU, and I don't think posters took it that way, thats all.

Another team with brutal Defensive play was Auburn prior to last year. Tubbs always had hard nosed d and running backs and were physical as it got in mostly every game. LSU versus Auburn in 04, 05, 06, and 07 were some of the most physical games I ever saw. I'll never understand why Auburn wanted to switch to the spread offense.

I definitely miss the aggressive D, no doubt about it. I am HOPING that this was just the first game, new D coordinator etc. and improvements will be made, especially after all the talk in the offseason about returning the intensity.

I do admire Bama's D- no bones about it. But it's not like Saban is the only one in the country who runs an aggressive D. It can be done.

That being said- I'm actually kind of glad so many people are shitting on us right now. Cause there are a lot of posters on this board (LSU fans included) that are going to have to eat some major crow if we begin to improve.

i honestly feel like that 'killer instinct' was Saban influenced. i've said it before, and i'll say it again a million times... when Saban was at LSU, it was the first time in my adult life i envied a team. i saw a team that was pumped from the beginning of the game through the end of the 4th quarter. savagely hitting people with no regard to their own personal health. standing up after the hits they give and beating their chest and acting all excited even if the game was WELL in hand and nearly over...

it's what makes other teams HATE playing you. and finally bama has a team that's doing exactly that.

thank you Jesus.. thank you Nick Saban!

What a bunch of hot air!!! Please STFU!

I have been watching the last couple of games that LSU have been playing, and it sucks! This is a team that should be dog stomping the living crap out of other teams, but for some reason the coach or coaches are not instilling the will to go out and destroy the opposing teams that we are playing.
Stop right there..."last couple of games" includes our arse-whipping of Georgia Tech in the Chicken Bowl...have you forgotten about that one?
