I wouldn’t say death but Texas, USC, and Oregon will be able to outspend Bama.

You aren't smart enough to realize over time local NIL deals will mean absolutely nothing.

It's always going to burn down to coaching.

Bama was a short step away from winning a NC in 2008 with crap talent... we won in 2009 with semi better talent.

Coaching matters alot.

Who do you think will end up with the better NIL deals in the long run... players on teams that win NCs and are on primetime networks every week or players on teams that don't/arent?

You probably think Tom Brady would be a superstar even if he didn't play for Belichick.

And if you say.. well the big paying universities will just higher the big coaches.... well... isn't that the same situation we are in now?

This will bring back a lot more fans

I think it'll be just the opposite, unless your team is willing to pay.

No they won't.

NIL pretty much sealed Alabama and Georgia outside the state of Texas. They both only pulled a single top 50 Texas recruit this year. Last year Bama alone had seven.

Sounds like 'Bama cleaned out Texas last year. I guess Saban will have to make do with the other 49 states going forward.

Yes the school that has allegedly been paying top dollar for 60 years is going to stop because it's now free agency.

They have most likely just figured out a better way to do it where kids can't take the cash and leave

Bama = cheating in the consciousness of college football fans. I would ride it out with Saban as long as possible because after that it is all downhill. Financially Bama simply won’t be able to compete.

Y’all realize that most of the NIL money is coming from advertisers not car dealership owners who want to LARP as an NFL owner with their alma mater’s college team, right?!

Won't be just the Tide but all of major college football will be in trouble. We already have pro football in the NFL

Texas' problem has been a spoiled, entitled culture that has made their players soft as baby shite. I'm sure dumping wads of cash in their pockets will toughen them up.

Texas and Texas A&M are sure to suck up all the LA talent.

The shorthorns were sucking up the talent for decades and often had all the hay in the barn long before signing day. Mack Brown hardly broke a sweat to get a class like Sark just did. After BAMA took his heart in '09' he couldn't put another championship product on the field.

Here in idiotville, folk's hatred for all things BAMA can cause all the deflection you care to put into it, but only great coaching is going to win a title.

College football is on the clock no matter what team you support. It was a great ride and the absolute greatest sport.

The Fans (ticket buyers) will be those that determine when it is really over.
