Exactly. And, even if a kid had to take a $50K cut from his deal to get ready for the draft, he’s going to do it. Cuts down on injury risk. Plus, turnaround to heal up & do combine prep/training is already short. The difference between 3rd & 5th round may be that extra few weeks.

I don't think I'd pitch it that way, to begin with.
I also think this assumes all deals are essentially alike, which I'm not sure is true. I think to have a clause like that, you might have to sweeten the pot a little.
