Yup.
Our situation, to quote her, is 17 kinds of fricked up. We've always been attracted to each other, but the timings always been horrible.
But the doors never been closed. Even when I went off on her one night, it's still there. Although now there's 5 hours between us.

Oh, definitely. But with distance from it, it's easier to focus on the good things about that person, and romanticize it. And easy to forget or minimize the BS that caused you to break up in the first place.

I agree.
We were both young when we tried to date, and honestly she's an awesome person to be around, but between us being young and us not being in the best place in our personal lives at the time it never had a shot at that go around. But we have stayed close in that we talk every now and again, and if we're together and we're both drinking, things happen.
And the sex is mind blowing.

I've been off and on with this guy since I was 16. Long breaks in between, but every time we see each other, it all starts again. We are very close friends, but will never be just friends. When it's good, it's great, but when things are bad, they are awful. I try to avoid him, but I see him a lot, so it's hard to do.
GeauxWarTigers met him when he came to BR.

He is awesome, but we just can't seem to get on the same page. He still needs to grow up a lot and he isn't ready to do that yet.

I was hooking up with a girl last summer and I broke things off with her because she was so similar to this girl, and if I'm gonna go for a girl like her, I'd rather have a girl like her than some girl like her.

I find something wrong with every guy I meet because he isn't my ex. My ex knows me better than anyone does, and I'm the same way with him. We have been through a lot together. Friends dying, family dying, lots of other shite. It's a fricking soap opera.

I'll admit, I used to not like Elleshoe. I think he is cool now. He really has become a good SECr poster, IMO.

He used to be a lot more like DS. He's alright if you are willing to have a civil discussion with him though. He at least needs to be reinstated by basketball season.

He has made serious strides in the development of his social skills lately. He has been playing nice. I think his emotions got the best of him today.

I did this for a long time too. He is awesome, and the biggest problem we had was timing - it was just never right. Eventually, I figured there was a message there I was refusing to see. I let go. Doesn't meant I don't care, but I've just accepted that it's not meant to be. From what I hear, he's very unhappily married to someone who trapped him with a baby. I wish him well, but want no part of that. Letting it all go finally got me to quit comparing everyone I met to him, and I'm a lot happier. Now, there are just a whole host of other reasons why my relationships don't work out!
