hairs, but I think given Watson's consistently dominant presence, I'd put him slightly over Manziel's.

But Manziel was consistently dominant. How else did he become the SEC record holder for total yardage in a season?

When you have two bad games over two seasons, and light up literally everyone else in every other game, you are remarkably consistent.

Let's have this conversation after this season.

Well Manziel did play twice as many games as Cam. It is certainly possible that Cam would have subpar game (for his standards) against the 2011 Alabama and LSU defenses

Because I have a life and don't check a message board everyday.

Knew you'd get crucified for this. He was great but if you don't touch the ball every play, you really don't have the opportunity to be the most dominant player in cfb

Fair enough.

As I said, just a slight edge to Watson IMO. I also can't help but acknowledge that I could have some innate bias given the way Manziel handles himself off the field vs how Watson does. I know it should have no bearing, but subconsciously it could be influencing.

I also hope no one believes Watson's 2015 season was an aberration. The guy was a couple months removed from an ACL injury playing behind a new OL without his top WR all season. He now has every single starter back on the offense and is another year removed from any injury. Most rankings have him playing behind the best OL in the country with the best WRs in the country. He's got solid RBs and a top 5 TE as well. He's gonna destroy this year and put up absurd numbers.

But yea we can definitely have the discussion after the season. What Manziel put up throughout his career is no doubt incredibly impressive
