Amazing what happens when you post anything good about Nick Saban. They just can not stand it. It's like pointing a laser in front of a cat.

Marshall 92.8 plays per game 2012
Specifically, the games against D2 opponents...

I'm not a very good troll, but I would think that if one makes a troll thread, the object would be to NOT be the most flustered and upset person in it. shite, one guy brings up the IB forward pass and he melts for 6 pages.

Savin needs to learn how to adapt to the no huddle offense. He needs to construct a defense that specializes in stopping it is that form of offense will become more and more prevalent in college football. Kind of like when he had trouble against the spread. Eventually he figured it out did pretty good against it. College football evolves Nick Saban should evolve with it.

Possibly.
I couldn't care any less. This has zero impact on LSU. LSU has handled the super fast blurr offenses of Oregon, Auburn, West Virginia from a defensive stand point better than anyone in the country. Even when LSU runs hurry up offensively its just for a change of pace and situational.
But one fact is clear even though gumps won't admit it. Saban has revealed a chink in his armor. He can't adapt to a offensive stategy so he is trying to force a rule change. The man has clearly lost his edge and is on the down side of his coaching ability.

That's my exact point, every man reaches a point in his career where he has topped out. Saban has reached this point. Not a knock against him its just a natural thing. This is one area where Chavis has excelled at LSU. Saban would wise to look at how LSU handles preparing for hurry up teams.

if they bring on another ref maybe they will flag the bammer linemen for tackling all the defensive linemen on every play

123 college teams, out of 125, ran more plays per game than the NFL average......If the figure of 63.7 I saw is correct....that makes little sense to me. College players should not be exposed to more contact and injury potential than professional athletes.

Also, I think the numbers you keep using without a source are not accurate.
You are starting with a conclusion and trying to shore horn an argument.

He won't get the 10 second rule but two things are going to happen that will be a win win. One...the officials are going to take control. They will not rush to hurry up and set the ball for play anymore. What is going to happen is they will control the pace of play and not allow the snap until all the zebras are in position and ready. Might as well BE a 10 second rule these HUNH coaches can frantically yell go go go jump up and down and do what they do and it isn't going to matter. It definitely HAS affected it before. On top of that something is about to pass that will further control the game. An 8 th official. Another set of eyes to catch all the illegal motion illegal formations and illegal plays some of the HUNH teams get away with. So Saban wins the debate. He will get all of what he really wants.
Losing the battle but winning the war.

Saban is the best coach in the game, but college football doesn't want him running everything. I love Alabama football, but the offense is fairly dull. It is similar to Four Corners basketball that Dean Smith ran at NC. It worked, but wasn't fun to watch.
Saban might need to address why his players arrive to the NFL all beat up. Is it his slow down style, or is he beating them up in practice? Let's be consistent on safety, Coach.
