Nick Saban changes and then gets mad that Alabama fans have taken on his old persona

Nick Saban used to get pissed after winning when opponents scored too many points. Fans would just be happy to win.

Now the roles have reversed and Bama fans are unhappy with close wins and Saban calls them self absorbed.

Saban is responsible for the expectations he’s created. By being unhappy with close wins or too many points allowed, he conditioned the fans to be the same way.

I have noticed his softened stance on winning close or losing this year and this recent rant puts the icing on the cake. What changed? Is he getting more sympathetic towards players in his old age? Does he have a new outlook on life and decided to be more appreciative of just simply winning now instead of blowing teams out?

The dream of every LSU fan. Not yet sunshine, you'll still suffer for years to come.

Maybe it's a pendulum, and it has swung too far to the other side. Nick is just trying to balance expectations on both sides.

Complacency demon got this team bad after such a dominating year unfortunately. Too much loss of leadership has the overall team’s attitude in a different place than people are used to seeing. Saban likely realizes this and is adjusting his approach accordingly.

As condescending as this will probably sound, I realize this is a difficult concept to grasp for a lot of programs/fanbases. The reality is not many programs/fans outside of Bama have experienced such a tremendous amount of success for such a sustained period of time. Not much of a precedent for how to deal with it tbh

Did he have any comments on fake LSU Kansas fans or was it just as irrelevant there as it is here?

He's been way off this whole year.

Vaccine is frying his brain.

I'm just kidding. Let's say half kidding.

Meh.

Maybe we'll be pissed when he throws away a championship by faking a punt on 4th and 10 at midfield with 2:00 left. Until that happens, we're pretty much OK with him.

Y'all have already started to turn on him due to his coordinators. The turn will be further strengthened when UGA claps that arse in ATL and Bama misses the playoffs.

The turn will be complete when Saban finishes 2022 3rd in the West behind aTm and MSU.

Saban will be put out to pasture, and Bama fans can begin their reminiscing of what they had with Saban.

Basically what you said is you do not understand Saban, or parenting in general.

When your team is up, you beat them down. When your team is down, you pick them up. And when your team is doubting/being doubted, you go out there and stick up for them so they know who has their back.

He doesn't give a shite about fans, and knows nothing he says is going to change the fanbase.

That's not me laughing at your reply.

That's me laughing at the fact that you're so fricking stupid that you actually believe it.

You are clueless if you think next years team is going to be worse than this years team. Hint: Most of them are coming back. Bryce Young is coming back, Will Anderson is coming back. etc.

What you are seeing out there this year is a team having to do a little rebuilding with a lot of youth...and has only lost 1 game this season.

Time. There's always time...

Tick-Tock.

Don't lose in Auburn. Time may be sped up.
