His contract runs through January 31st 2020, but I have no idea what the buyout is.

I don't foresee Bama canning him, so it may as well be zero.

No buyout. We will continue to make the job as appealing as possoble, but if he wants to leave there is no buyout.

Don't know what the exact buyout is but it's moot! He's got a job for life with Bama.

As I understand it, if another school wanted to hire him, there is no buyout. But if the school fires Saban without cause, he's due the full amount of remaining contract, in this case close to the 35 million dollar figure you posted. It's a sweet deal for Ol' Nick to be sure, and would suck for the school of he weren't such a badass. But he is, so it's great for both sides. He likely will never sign another contract here or elsewhere without these terms. That's what kind of leverage you earn when you're the absolute best in your field.

The OP knows the buyout terms. He's working oh so cleverly for the "wow. So he has no buyout to leave? Does that concern you bammers?" post. Predictable

He has no buyout. Saban calls all the shots at Alabama. He can come and go as he pleases. Saban is the bewt coach in the history of college football why would he sign a buyout.
