WTF are you talking about? complete nonsense

This. So why respond?

I also noticed a post he made in another thread saying Jarrett Lee would be LSU's starting QB next year because he's smarter than Jefferson didn't "take sacks" like Jefferson does, who has no arm & can't throw downfield.

I'm moving on from this idiocy.

Thank you Nick Saban for doing the job LSU hired you to do. AFTER LSU made the decision to invest in the football program and hired you, you did what you were paid to do. That is all.

(Nick Saban did not create the LSU football program. He did the job LSU hired and paid him to do - nothing more and nothing less). Some people act as though Saban gave birth to LSU or something.

Thanks Nick for all you did as an LSU Tiger. You brought us to the promise land and built a solid foundation for your predecessor to succeed. That is what true leaders do. We would not have been such a dominate team if it weren't for you bringing us out of the dark years. You will always have a home in BR and you are welcome back to LSU anytime, after you leave BAMA of course.

you mean successor, the predecessors were the reason we got him...

That was very eloquent. Thank you for that. That’s one person, who is next in line?

He was on a collision course with Destiny anyways. LSU just happened to be the stop

LSU was also on a collision course with destiny. Top football people had recognized LSU as a sleeping giant for decades. Any elite coach could have come and had success at LSU. Notice that I said any elite coach and not just any coach.

Saban was great for LSU, but I don't think you can say he would have had this type of success without taking over a program like LSU. Bama was a similar situation. They used scapegoats like Shula to get them through the probation period, then hired a top coach like Saban to take over when the time was right.

Saban is a great coach, but his enormous success has been supplemented by the programs he's been to and the timing of his hires. If you can't see that, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

By the way, I do appreciate what he did at LSU. However, as long as he is the coach of my most hated rival, I'll hate him. Keep in mind that there is a much thinner line between love and hate than there is between love and apathy. Because we liked and appreciated Nick so much for what he did at LSU is the reason we hate him so much at Bama.

This is like saying Benedict Arnold should be appreciated for all the good things he did for the country before he became a traitor.

Yep, but his eggs are delicious. Maybe if Saban had a type of breakfast named after him, we could forgive him.

So if Nick Saban leaves BAMA in the next two years, do we automatically embrace him again?

I've always had bad luck rehiring ex-employees. It never worked out. Even those who performed well. The fact they would leave means they lack loyalty and many times they ended up quitting on me at the worst times again.

LSU fans need to learn how to be appreciative. We could very much end up 5th or 6th in the SEC or even worse than that in the next few years. Seems like it anyways

Only when he's old and has quit coaching. Then, we might feel some emotional connection to him when he throws down his spoon at the ole folks home after the attendant uses the wrong technique in putting milk in his oatmeal. . .
