Which one would you rather have people???

Would you rather delete Saban from our past completely and not recognize the 2003 championship or embrace him for laying such a solid foundation and winning a NC?

You should change the topic to Mark Emmert

He was the visionary who pushed Joe Dean aside and set this in motion. Nick Saban was a mere pawn in Emmert's plan.

God I wish threads like this would be deleted.

They would disappear much faster if we would stop responding.

Damn, I just did it too.

you're a fricking moron...it doesn't have to be one or the other

He gets credit for what he DID, but I would rather appreciate the coach that we have now because he is here and is doing a damn fine job overall.

By the way, if you want to be completely honest about it, even though Dinardo's record sucked terribly...he actually starting laying the foundation and regaining Louisiana recruits for LSU.

Luckily we don't live in your hypothetical world. We can keep his accomplishments and still hate him.

No one can answer???? I would much rather embrace him as the coach and the National Championship. All you so called tiger fans should be embarrassed!!! That would be a disgrace to LSU to not remember that Championship and team and coach. You should be ashamed!!!!

Great! Now that you've told us what YOU thought (which was really the point, wasn't it?) & how dumb we all are for (not) making a false choice, we can all move on & put this thread behind us.

No, Dumbass, I just don't get why people shun the 2003 team b/c of Saban. They would rather forget it happened like complete morons!!!

Saban is yesterday's dump.

It felt good when it was happening, but it's only a mistake to go back to it and poke around with it. . .

Let's move on.

People like you feed the hate with statements like this. Everyone wants to give him full credit for everything LSU has accomplished. No one denies that he deserves some credit for where we are, but not sole credit.

Answer this question: without LSU would Saban be as successful as he is today? I don't see him sending us love letters every day.

Saban deserves the credit along with the TAF. The wheels were well in motion before Bertman took over as AD. Bertman's answer to every problem is throw more of your (not his) money at it. It does not take a genius to run the AD at LSU when the football team is winning championships. Bertman was very overrated as an AD. I will agree the man has an ego that is unmatched,

Regardless of your opinion he was the AD that had many good things happen while on his watch and for that goes the spoils.

BTW why didn't any other AD finish with the same type of success? Especially since the job is so Easy. (Throwing more of our money is not the issue) That was necessary to bring LSU and it facilities to the forefront of the nations best. Speaking of throwing money and for the purposes of comparison MAL Moron at bama is now regarded as ones of their best AD's ever when it was not that long ago he was a gnats arse away form fired until he drove a truck load of money in $abuns yard.

The 2003 team is still my favorite team of all time, and I think the majority of LSU fans agree. It was the first football national championship in most of our lifetimes.

He was on a collision course with Destiny anyways. LSU just happened to be the stop. He brought Michigan St up out of no where. He would have done this to any other school. We shoyuld be lucky we gave him the shot.

This is true as well as my statement on Skip. LSU's administration helped create what is now $abun not the other way around. Without LSU he may not be who his rep has become.
