This stupid argument of yours could be used against any position in any conference. You are just a biased, jealous booger eater.
"uhhhh... Andrew Luck and RG3 can't be evaluated properly and are a huge risk to draft early because they are throwing against weaker, undersized cornerbacks in a offensive first conference."
You're not very good at this.

Loved your analysis of the Bama first rounders for the 2012 NFL Draft. Would read again.
Quick favor - please break down the AU first rounders for the 2012 NFL Draft. Thanks in advance.
I quess that was suppose to be a jab a AU fans. If it was, it was a weak attempt. This was about Saban and the NFL Draft, if I had compared it to Tommy Tuberville and the NFL Draft, then you could make it an AU vs UA deal. But your response was a "Look, there is Elvis" moment.

Are AU fans really this mad because Alabama will have 9 first rounders over two years? Deal with it.
Posted on 4/20/12 at 2:45 pm to CapstoneGrad06
Of course the Barners are mad success begets success it will get worse once Saban's kids in the NFL become Pro-Bowlers and Alabama begins to use that as part of the package in selling recruits.

I think RG3 is a huge risk to take as the 2nd player drafted, mainly due to Big 12 defenses. With the exception of AU and Cam in 2010, any SEC team that got up by double digits was going to win the game (exception :Ark vs TA&M) . Not because of the great play of the defenses, but because the QBs sucked so much, most teams could not come back from a deficit.

We have been waiting since his time at LSU.

Nope. Just you.

No, you evaluated Bama players. Saban is just their current coach. We can look at Chizik's success with his players. How are his ISU players doing in the NFL? How about his AU players? Any gonna get drafted in the 1st round this year? 2nd or 3rd round?
He's a defensive genius right? Who are his NFL prospects for next year? Give me a break, dude. You know equal parts Jack & shite about talent evaluation.
Posted on 4/20/12 at 3:08 pm to Irons Puppet
He's also responsible for coaching them through their pro careers. Is that what you're saying?
He coaches them for the college game that will prepare them for the pro game. What they do after is not his responsibility.

In fairness to Puppet he was pissing on my claim that the current crop of 9 (last year/this year) will produce Pro Bowl players.
I did not prepare my sentence for Barner hard-legging my point was once awards at the next level are very much used as a recruiting tool.
Coached takes no hit for kids do not excelling at the next level however in the event that they do well in the NFL trust and believe it will be used as a recruiting tool

Again, another "Elvis moment". You do not have AU fans or the press saying how successful Chiziks players are in the draft or how they are prepared for the NFL, so that is not an issue in this discussion. Even with TT success with players in the NFL, you never saw anyone singing his praise in the press. All these "draft experts" keep spewing the same message, but they do not have facts to back it up.

Damn, you really are mad. Are you that scared about Nick Saban continuing to build a juggernaut in recruiting, by selling NFL draft success?

So you are saying if Saban was their Pro Coach, they would be All-Pros ? I bet Miami is pissed knowing what could have been.

It is great for recruiting here is what Ohio State is sending to kids

Well, Jason Taylor was a NFL Defensive MVP under Nick Saban with the Dolphins. At Jack LB of all positions. Since y'all love to hate that spot.

Case in point, Miami Dolphin linebacker Cameron Wake spent the majority of his Penn State career on the bench in Joe's doghouse, the minute he made the Pro-Bowl he was welcomed back into the fold as a prodigal son and his image is used now recruiting mailings.

quote:There you are wrong. AU fans were doing a lot of bragging when 4 players were drafted in the first round in 2005. Now that Alabama is having a run with 4 and maybe 5 players going 1st round, you try to downplay it.
Even with TT success with players in the NFL, you never saw anyone singing his praise in the press.

No idea if this has been brought up but Miami had 10 guys taken in the first round in the 03/04 drafts
I see it has now but yea Bama has a good thing going

No other school will have seen as many players into the 1st round over two years as Alabama in 2011 and 2012.
Really? What about the Miami teams in the early 2000s? They had a ton of guys go in the first round during those years.
