Could you be more wrong?
Could you be more basketball illiterate? Do you think that good officiating is when both teams shoot the same number of free throws?

Refresh my memory on that game. I can't recall any blatantly bad calls against UT in that game, but I'm a Bammer and may not be looking at it objectively.

quote:so you think the officials played a bigger role in Bama-UT than Bama-OM? ok. Maybe in the overtime period it was a big factor as that is the only way we scored. However like Crede said yall were getting everything before that and its your own fault you didnt put us away while you were getting every call

There was never point in which tennessee was getting all the calls. The last 10 minutes of the game bama gotevery call.

If you were watching it was fairly obvious. Tennessee had been all over us defensively the first ten minutes of the second half and had like two fouls called. The turning point was when a Tennessee guy literally ran Chris Hines over, knocking him into the basket and nothing was called. They had to go back and check the video to see if there was a flagrant foul and the fact that they didn't call anything embarrassed the refs and they started giving us some makeup calls. It was completely obvious, we instantly started getting some calls on touch fouls and things like that.

That is simply not true. Very late in the game, the refs gave the ball to UT when replay clearly showed the UT player knocked the ball out of bounds. The replay also showed that there was strong justification for a foul on the UT player. I believe UT tied the game on the subsequent possession.

It's not near true. The fifth foul on Hines was away from the ball while trailing the UT player down the lane with under two minutes left and put UT at the line and where they took the lead.

The replay clearly showed that Brian williams was bumped by the Alabama player. Cool story bro.

Bama beat AU from the foul line and lost to OM because of the foul line. That's how it works sometimes, if we could shoot with ANY consistency we would bust up these zones that are giving us trouble. The team has come a long way in the last 15 games, beat UF and we're in. I know it's not a guarantee, and the UGA game won't be easy but beat UF and we finish either 13-3 or 12-4 in SEC, win a game in the tourney and I'll feel pretty good about our March Madness chances.

Good point. To get away from my hijacking of the thread, This game wasnt overly important one way or the other. As long as Alabama wins 2 more they are in. They were going to need to do that anyway.
