Ironically, we will probably be in the same post season tournament as you also. Have you ever been to MSG?

What sport lies behind the question marks?
deflection = butthurt.
....and this is a gigantic, raging case of deflection right there.

Maybe instead of blaming the officials everytime Alabama loses a close game, Grant can teach his guards how to make three point shots.

That would be fantastic.

This. I don't get to watch many Bama basketball games but I kept wondering why they weren't jacking up threes with as much room as they were getting from our Zone. MSU would have set records with all that space.

We can't shoot, the reason why we've done well this year is we know our strengths and play to them, that is getting the ball inside, scoring in the paint and hopefully drawing fouls
The part about Warren driving more to get fouled more in the second half is a nice story but the whole game Ole Miss was getting to the line a lot more, 13-2 in the first half, etc. Its the way it is in the SEC, you just have to be a lot better than the home team, when it happens you bitch about it in the game thread and then move on, you don't create new threads about it 24 hours later.

The three point barrage will come in march. Anthony is so great be knows he can dust you all and win this conference without the benefit of 3s. He will unleash the FURY and the SECRET weapon on the march to the final 4!!!!!!!! Grant clearly got the technical to make sure Bama didnt screw up and win that game. Obviously grant feels we needed that loss, that's how smart he is. Genious

Wednesday night: another thread from rammerjammer about how we got screwed.
Posted on 2/27/11 at 7:51 pm to Crede15
Why would I wait a whole day? We play Tuesday man.
Posted on 2/27/11 at 7:52 pm to RammerJammerBammer
I assume you'll have a few on Tuesday night as well, along with a Wednesday night follow up.

Posted on 2/27/11 at 7:55 pm to Crede15
Well im going to try to refrain as I'm expecting similar treatment in Gainesville. Mr. Walker will be the recipient. Bet you weren't expecting one about Tuesday's game, on Sunday!

The reason Bama had so many fouls was that when both teams were in the bonus with 13 min left in the second half, yea BOTH teams, Ak decided to let Warren drive a lot. Warren with his size is probably the quickest player in the league and it will draw a lot of hand checks and reaches. The refs weren't out to get you. It was good coaching. If you didn't notice when we got our 6th foul, we went manly to the zone to stop fouling.
Problem is, Ole Miss didn't stop fouling when they went to the zone, the refs just stopped calling them.
I'm not bitching about it as that's the way it goes on the road in the SEC. Bama has been the beneficiary of that same officiating a few times this year on their court.

Alabama Tennessee
FG Made-Attempted 24-56 (.429) 22-63 (.349)
3P Made-Attempted 3-14 (.214) 4-20 (.200)
FT Made-Attempted 14-19 (.737) 12-20 (.600)
Could you be more wrong?

the officiating was so horrendous in the first ten minutes of the second half of the Tennessee game that you could see the officials were actually a bit embarrassed and started giving us some calls.
If you were watching it was fairly obvious. Tennessee had been all over us defensively the first ten minutes of the second half and had like two fouls called. The turning point was when a Tennessee guy literally ran Chris Hines over, knocking him into the basket and nothing was called. They had to go back and check the video to see if there was a flagrant foul and the fact that they didn't call anything embarrassed the refs and they started giving us some makeup calls.
It was completely obvious, we instantly started getting some calls on touch fouls and things like that.
