It's a calculated move. Either suspend him for 3 games or risk the SEC suspending him for 6. Easy choice.

This is what schools often do when they are trying to avoid being punished. I suspect LSU will announce this tomorrow or maybe Thursday morning.

LSU didnt allow anything. Again there is no currently admitted first hand proof that LSU or Kiffin actually did anything. You might see a quiet fine or something like a 1 game suspension but LSU nor Kiffin has done nothing wrong for all legal purposes. If any "punishment" is done it will not affect the football season.
