That little school had a 5* two way player named Joe McKnight who was being talked about as the second coming of Reggie Bush at the time.

Hoover jumped up 14-0, but McKnight was the difference as he had two really long TDs of around 50+, and the game sealing INT.

Hoover was ranked #1 by USA Today going into that game, but John Curtis was also a top 10 team nationally, so its not like that "little" school was slouches. Plus thats a private school that was created and exists solely for the football program. Its like saying IMG Acadamey today is just some nobody tiny private school

I believe that was the first HS football game ever televised live on the main ESPN. Temperatures on the field that game got to 110.
