LSU, for whatever reason, is sticking behind him. I hope it's to their detriment as arrogance and ignorance in this case does not look good.

Considering it'll be pretty damning after they play the recording on March 31st -- It's very likely to be the week proceeding that (so this year).
Obviously the longer it goes that LSU does nothing, then yeah, there's a sliver of HOPE that you guys have that Will Wade remains coach. Mostly because the administration at LSU has zero integrity and doesn't give a frick. This doesn't work at most other institutions.

Do we know that for sure? Even if it's the recordings we already know about, the NCAA has needed them. So the NCAA will likely push hard to finish their investigation. Since LSU has been lying through their teeth about everything -- the penalty will be bad.

The Advocate in BR got an advanced screening of the documentary and says there is no new info in it and that Sean Miller comes out looking worse than Wade. Says Wade doesn't look any worse than before. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'm not concerned. But, people on this board were so sure he would be fired last year and it didn't happen. I don't see how anyone can be so sure now.

Doesn't make it right that those coaches have gotten away with it. The NCAA is making moves finally, though.
What I am curious about is how this will look in 5 years when players can get paid for their likeness. Surely they cannot use that to their advantage saying that they're likely to make more at their school due to donors or advertising for car dealerships, etc., right? But who knows how that's going to play out.
Right now, the rules are the rules and it definitely appears that Wade and Miller broke them.

Smart was preliminarily cleared to play by both LSU and the NCAA. As of now there is no evidence that any players got paid.

Lots of people around here hoping beyond hope that this documentary will be that last straw that seals our doom...

It's because K and Cal know what they are doing. They don't talk about it on the phone. They have somebody who contacts a booster and lets the booster know that a certain player is needed. Their hands don't get dirty.

This is where Wade fricked up. It's like amateur hour. At the very least he should have had someone else on the phone doing the talking while he was in the room instructing that person what to say. He should be completely insulated.

If he goes down, he only has himself to blame. Luckily for him it seems like he's good at covering the paper trail. If he gets through this, he most likely wont ever get busted.

If nothing happens then I think that opens the flood gates for a price war on recruits. Which honestly wouldn’t be the worst thing for Bama as we’ve got some pretty deep pockets.
