I've posted it about a half dozen times in the past. It's not hard to find if you really wanna know the truth.

Because I never hear about their claims. I hear everyday about Alabama's.

Do some research then. UT has a claim (1967) that's WORSE than Bama's 41.

Auburn is the first SEC West team to EVER finish 7th in the Division. Congrats!

Auburn just wanted to get it out of the way right up front.

Uh, there is a great chance Auburn will be right back in it in 2013

What gets me about AU/LSU/UT fans constantly bringing this up is that even if you take away the "bogus" titles, Bama still has more than any other team in the country.

I meant I don't see or hear their fans thumping their chests about it on a daily basis like I do on this site and IRL.

Your Bama dick riding is more confounding. However, the article in the OP makes clear that ND might actually be able to make that claim.

Either way, simply because one team has more than another, does that make it a good thing to do for that team to exaggerate or inflate the truth?

Because you are an Auburn fan. You have grown up as an outcast like all Auburn fans and you hate Alabama fans and are generally jealous about all that Alabama has accomplished.

Exactly then why claim them? Michael Phelps has more medals than anyone in the world, so should he just claim 100? Stupid logic.

Here's the thing though, all of those title claims outside of 1941 are legit. Whether you or anyone else likes it or not.

Why does it bother a gator fan so much? Why do you feel the need to knight for Bama? Why wouldn't Auburn fans give Bama fans a difficult time over championships? That's what rivals do, bust each others balls. DWI

Perhaps knowing the actual truth would be a good place to start, before criticizing.

Haha that is the big difference between the two fanbases. I really like to win and really hate to lose to Alabama in anything, but it doesn't define me as a person. My life in 2012 was exactly the same as it was in 2010.

Usually rivals are close to equal in terms of significance or prestige. Auburn is neither. High time we drop you and make room for LSU, a team with a pulse

Auburn busting Alabamas balls is like a 6th grade basketball player saying he is better then lebron James... See how dumb your making your school look?

Thanks for the link, and the pic. One question, though:

quote:

The presentation of the Rissman Trophy to the Alabama Crimson Tide following their victory in the 1935 Rose Bowl.

Rissman's award had been presented annually to college football's national champion as determined by the Dickinson System, developed in the early 1920s by Frank Dickinson, a professor of economics at the University of Illinois.

How do you explain this?

Wait a second, according to that link Dickinson didn't ever award Bama a NC. Something is wrong. I'm going to trust infallible wikipedia.
