Was I right or was I right? I feel like Marcus Freeman, Mario Cristobal, and the announcers read this right before the game started.
Or.... it was common sense to any objective observer based on his two years starting at Georgia....

I haven't seen him since his elbow injury and rehab, so I don't know. I do think he was elite. The regression in 2024 is due to zero running game and being dead last in FBS in dropped passes. He was throwing dimes and hitting guys on the money and they were just dropping them, multiple times every game. The higher INT ratio came from the fact UGA wasn't blowing people out in 2024 and found themselves in more desperate situations and having to force more throws. He is also very athletic and can run really well, but the coaches wouldn't let him. Assuming his elbow is all good, and his mechanics aren't all fricked up, I see no reason he can't have a long career in the NFL. He can make every throw on the field and process coverage at AI speeds. He's a great QB. It all depends on that elbow, and how well the OL can protect him, will the receiver actually catch the ball when he puts it both their hands, and can a running game relieve him of some of the pressure of having to be the guy to make every play and open some play action opportunity. If the Front 7 can consistently stop the run with 5 in the box, and drop 6 into coverage, that's a bad situation for any QB no matter how good he is.
