Who the frick knows what's even happening? The commissioner of the conference doesn't even know the rules. Sounds like a bunch of other people don't know the rules or they're trying to twist them in their favor. The whole thing is dumb.

The new rules are not even 100% mandatory for all until fall of 2027 incoming class. As part of transition to new rule they allow anyone with eligibility remaining after 2025-2026 and the 2026 signees who signed under the old rules to either have the new rule or the old rule applied to them whichever is most beneficial.

It seems like the local elected BR judge allowed the plaintiffs to put the SEC on trial for the NCAA rules and not just the SEC’s professional rule which only affects 2 of the plaintiffs currently at LSU. It doesn’t matter if he could or could not explain everything about the NCAA’s new 5 For 5 and Age based rules as that was not the grounds the SEC was brought into this. They were added specifically for the SEC rule on professional athletes.

I also think the SEC hiring the firm of the Orleans DA was dumb to the point of me wondering if they wanted to win.

LSU alumni have much bigger concerns about LSU than who a local judge rules can play on a team of players only at LSU for money without a care about the university, but as usual most alumni only care about sports.
